Natural Environment
Beautiful scenery, brimming with plants and animals. Some of the animals that you may encounter include; bandicoots, lizards, penguins, flying fox (bats) and depending on the season – whales and dolphins. Fantastic birds are always a feature.
Aboriginal Heritage
Manly has played a signficant role in the development of Sydney, being the first documented place where the aboriginals (Kay-ye-may Clan) met the first settlers.
History and Culture
Manly has played a key role in the development of Sydney and Australia. Some of the other attractions that are located in the Manly area include the Quarantine Station, St Patricks (formerly a seminary), North Fort and the Old Gas Works Site. There have been also been a number of famous people who lived in the Manly area – even the first prime minister!
